Christy Lake
After high school Christi worked the usual string of boring minimum-wage teenager jobs until one night when, on a dare, she entered herself in a club's amateur night contest. She enjoyed it so much that she quit her day job and started dancing full time. Several months later, while attending a swinger's convention, she was approached by someone who offered her a job modeling for a magazine. She took it and she and a friend were flown to New York. Next came a job signing at the magazine's booth at AVN's Adult Expo in Las Vegas. Several people at the show suggested that she consider making adult movies. She returned home to Minnesota, thought about it and in late 1995 went to L.A.
The first didn't do it, neither did the second, but by the third movie she was hooked. Not just on the sex either, she enjoyed the movie making process so much that she formed her own production company, Dripping Wet Pix. One of her first productions, "Director's Wet Dreams" was nominated for AVN's "Best Featurette" award in 1997 and she was nominated for "Best Actress." Not bad for someone who had been in the business for less than a year. Dripping Wet Pix also produced the ground-breaking pro-am series "Fan Fuxxx" for which Christi chooses participants from among her fans. Today she continues to make movies - don't miss her in Video Team's "No Man's Land Legends" - and tours throughout North America as a feature dancer.
Christi won AVN's award for the "Best Group Scene" in 1996.
